MANILA, Philippines - Two men who claimed to be policemen from Bicutan shot the owner of a beerhouse after she refused to pay them a weekly “tong” or protection money in Marikina City Wednesday night.

Cecilia Pascua, 47, owner of the Jae Cris Videoke Bar, told investigators the men left when she refused to give protection money but returned minutes later. They were wearing helmets and shot at everyone in the establishment, she said.

The other victims are waitress Agnes Pagkalinawan, 45; waiter John Ray Agustin, 21; and customer Arnel Lumaad, 24.

Senior Superintendent Gabriel Lopez, city police chief, ordered a manhunt for the two gunmen.
