Ma submits Ramona's counter-affidavit

MANILA, Philippines - Former actress Genelyn Magsaysay submitted yesterday the counter affidavit of her daughter Ramona Bautista before the Parañaque City prosecutor’s office.

In her 15-page affidavit sworn before the Philippine embassy in Turkey, Ramona claimed she was “wrongfully charged” in the murder of her elder brother, actor Ram Revilla (Ramgen Jose Bautista in real life).

“In the name of truth and justice, I hereby declare, that I have never in anyway directly or indirectly, participated in any criminal and/or felonious activity in the slaying of my kuya Ramgen Bautista, who I so deeply love and respect,” read Ramona’s affidavit.

“The unfounded accusation against my person is false, untrue, and an evident act of machination concocted by our law enforcers and their manufactured witnesses or suspects,” she added.

Ramona said the witnesses “and their false testimonies are intended to deceive and obstruct the administration of justice.” She said she rejects them as “malicious, a product of a severe and evident bias which resulted (in) injustices to our family who has suffered and continuously suffering for the wrongs done to us.”

She also insisted that her slain brother’s aide and confidant, Ronald Ancajas, could have something to do with his Oct. 28 murder.

Magsaysay called on the public to help them find the “real” perpetrators of the crime, as she insisted on her children’s innocence. Her son, Ramon Joseph Bautista, is also accused of masterminding his brother’s murder.

She also confirmed that Ramona is still in Turkey and that it would be better for her to stay there until she is ready to go back and defend herself.
