MANILA, Philippines - At least 10 teenagers robbed a computer shop in Malate, Manila at past midnight yesterday.
Police said the boys, aged 13 to 15, took advantage of a heavy downpour to rob at gunpoint shop owner Maritess Juan, 33, of her P15,000 cell phone and P800 at around 12:30 a.m. Juan’s shop is located at the corner of Singalong and Zapanta streets.
Police said at least two or three of the teenagers have been identified. Manila Police District Station 9 commander Superintendent Ernesto Tendero said if the teenagers are caught, they will be turned over to the local social welfare office since the juvenile justice law prohibits charging them for the robbery.
