- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines - At least 34 passengers were reportedly injured in a collision of buses along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City Tuesday night.

Traffic investigator Noel Moya said a CEM Transit bus (TYM-491) and an Everlasting bus (TXG-647) were involved in the accident that occurred at around 10 p.m.

Moya said the drivers and the conductors were unscathed but 34 passengers of the two buses suffered minor injuries and were brought to the East Avenue Medical Center.

Everlasting bus driver Angelito Agustin, 43, told investigators that he was pulling over to offload passengers when the accident happened. CEM Transit driver Rogelio Letran, 49, meanwhile, said he tried stepping on the brake but it did not work.
