Pagasa to boxing fans: Bring umbrellas, water bottles

- Evelyn Macairan -

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) advised yesterday those who plan to leave their homes and watch the third fight between boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and Mexican slugger Juan Manuel Marquez to bring an umbrella and a water bottle.

“In Metro Manila, we are expecting the weather to be a bit hot and cloudy in the morning. While in the afternoon, there would be some isolated rainshowers. So it would be better if the people who are going out today would bring their umbrella to protect them from the heat and bring a bottle of water,” Pagasa forecaster Samuel Duran said.

The temperature in Metro Manila today is projected to range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Many boxing aficionados and Pacquiao fanatics have already bought tickets and made plans to watch live the bout inside movie theaters, bars and covered courts with their family and friends.
