MANILA, Philippines - Three men are facing charges after a taxi operator complained he lost one of his units in Caloocan City last Wednesday.
WJNG Taxi operator William Manimbo appeared at the police station yesterday to report the loss.
Cabbie Roberto Llavidones, 34, allegedly drove the taxi (TXW-721) last Wednesday but allowed Ramil Caliosan, 26, who needed money, to work as an “extra” and gave him the car keys.
After a few hours, Caliosan allegedly offered Joel Sanchez a chance to drive and complete the boundary, the minimum amount that must be remitted to the operator.
While driving the taxi Friday, Sanchez claimed the vehicle ran out of gas and was towed by SMD Towing Services to its impounding area in Parañaque. Sanchez faces additional charges for breaking the tow truck’s side mirror.
The taxi was later found in the towing firm’s impounding area.
