MANILA, Philippines - A fetus was found at the entrance of the South Cemetery in Sta. Ana, Manila yesterday morning.
The fetus, estimated to be at least three months old and placed inside a glass container, was abandoned at the cemetery’s gate and discovered by roving policemen, according to Manila Police District officer-in-charge Senior Superintendent Alex Gutierrez.
“The owner of the fetus might be intending to bury it inside the cemetery but the police’s rigid inspection of every visitor thwarted the intention and decided to just leave it at the entrance,” Gutierrez said.
