Body dumped at cemetery gate

- Pete Laude -

MANILA, Philippines - The body of a man was dumped in front of the Laloma Cemetery in Caloocan City Friday.

The victim, whose hands and head were wrapped in packing tape, was found by three women who passed by the cemetery at around 4:20 a.m., Police Officer 2 Joel Montebon said. The man’s neck bore strangulation marks.

Montebon described the victim to be about 30 to 40 years old, fair-skinned, around 5’5” to 5’8” tall, and clad in blue shorts and a black shirt.

A message written on a piece of cardboard, tied to the victim’s head, identified the victim as a robber and a drug pusher and warned others not to follow his example. “Soon you will follow,” the message read.

The Northern Police District crime scene investigators brought the body to their crime lab for autopsy.
