'Salvage' victims dumped in Manila

MANILA, Philippines -  Two bodies of a man and a woman, believed to be victims of summary execution, were dumped beside each other in front of a building in Sampaloc, Manila early yesterday.

The man was described as between 35 and 40 years old, five feet tall, slim, semi-bald, and clad in blue denim jeans and white t-shirt with printed words “81 number hit authentic brand.”

MPD investigator PO2 Bernardo Cayabyab said the victims were found with a blue nylon cord and packing tape looped around their necks.

The woman was estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, at least five feet tall, medium built, with shoulder-length curly hair, and clad in black denim jeans and a gray t-shirt with the words: “silence me with her lips please everytime.” She had a tribal tattoo on her ankle.

Police said the bodies were discovered lying side by side in front of the Aegis Juris Foundation, Inc. building at the corner of Laong Laan and Navarra streets by a passerby at around 4:40 a.m. – Nestor Etolle, Sandy Araneta
