Las Piñas college graduate among top CPA board passers
MANILA, Philippines - Las Piñas City has 18 new certified public accountants (CPA) and one of them placed seventh among the Top 10 in the recent CPA licensure examinations.
Mayor Vergel “Nene” Aguilar on Wednesday congratulated Jerwin Baquir Tubay, a graduate of Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College (DFCAMC), who garnered a rating of 92.5 percent.
“The performance of Jerwin Baquir Tubay and all our CPA board passers prove that our city college that provides free and quality education standards is highly competitive with the other universities and colleges in the country, and I am proud of our graduates,” the mayor said.
In a report to Aguilar, DFCAMC acting president Zardi Abellera said 18 of their graduates, including Tubay, were among the 4,066 successful examinees in the CPA board exams.
The other successful examinees are: Katrhina Awacay, Jefferson Balmes, Mariano Bathan Jr., Bryan Atlas Bautista, Rose Ann Brazos, John Carlo Cayton, Mark Joseph Cisneros, Joanne Estipona, Luzviminda Gatchalian, Camille Andrea Ingente, Joey Gliponeo, Dennis Gutierrez, Rovel Lagonoy, Jerald Longaza, Jenny Rose Palwa, Jeffrey Torio and Anna Czarina Tuyay.
DFCAMC graduates have consistently placed among the Top 10 passers in CPA licensure examinations in the country. The city college has been producing accomplished business and accountancy courses graduates since its establishment in 1998.
