5 nabbed in Taguig drug bust

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested a couple and three others who yielded 300 grams of shabu with a street value of P1.5 million during a drug bust at a parking lot of a mall in Taguig City Thursday.

Those arrested were Manuel Narciso, 57, and his wife, Rowena, 47; and Myrna Capco, 52; Imee Urdaneta, 28, and Dominador Ninga, 25.

Superintendent Roque Merdegia, legal officer of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF), said the Narciso couple and Urdaneta are now pointing to each other as the source of the illegal drugs.

Merdegia said an informant told them two weeks ago that the suspects are reportedly behind the proliferation of shabu in the boundary of the cities of Makati and Taguig.
