MANILA, Philippines - A security guard was gunned down in front of his friends in the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City Sunday afternoon.
Eduardo Cidad, who was assigned at the National Housing Authority, was rushed by his companions to the East Avenue Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival. He sustained a gunshot wound in the torso.
Inspector Elmer Monsalve, chief of the homicide investigation section of the Quezon City Police District, said the attack happened at past 5 p.m. in front of the Green Palm Garden located along C.P. Garcia street.
The victim’s companions told police that an unidentified man armed with an improvised shotgun shot Cidad.
