Cager loses P230,000 left in car

MANILA, Philippines - Alaska Aces point guard Bonifacio Custodio lost P230,000 in cash left inside his car, while it was parked on the sidewalk in front of his house in Barangay Pinagkaisahan in Quezon City on Tuesday.

Custodio told police that the money was in the compartment beside the handbrake of his black Honda Civic (ZFK-496).

Senior Police Officer 1 Jaime Jimena said the burglars might have scaled the steel fence of Custodio’s house and reached for the car key, which the basketball player left on the dining table near a window, after he parked on the sidewalk at 3 a.m.

Custodio said he discovered that his car key was missing around 5:30 a.m.

The car key was later found in the gutter near the car. When Custodio opened the vehicle, he found the interior in disarray and his money missing.
