Maynilad signs MOA to supply water to BF Resort Village

MANILA, Philippines - Some 10,000 households of BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City will soon have access to clean and affordable water, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

The Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) is set to start the construction and rehabilitation of the water system inside the village, after the water company signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with BF Resort Village Homeowners Association Inc., BF Homes Inc. and its water distribution arm, Philippine Waterworks and Construction Corp. (PWCC).

For years, residents of BF Resort Village sourced their water from deep wells operated by the PWCC, or from expensive water deliveries, which charge an average of P30 per drum and can cost as much as P1,800 per month.

Maynilad president and CEO Ricky Vargas said that once the projects under the MOA are completed, Maynilad will not only be able to provide the 10,000 households with potable water, but also stop the operations of illegal deep wells in the area, in support of the policy of the National Water Resources Board.
