TG Guingona's son seriously hurt in car mishap

MANILA, Philippines - The 18-year-old son of Sen. Teofisto “TG” Guingona III underwent surgery on both legs at the St. Luke’s Hospital after a vehicular accident before dawn yesterday in Quezon City.

Traffic investigator Police Officer 3 Renato Sunga said Pieyter Norman Guingona, who was in a gray Isuzu Alterra (ZMW-540) was driving along the north-bound lane of Katipunan flyover when he crashed into a lamppost.

“It was unfortunate that it happened…no civilian was hurt. We’ll keep you updated as to the condition of my son,” the senator said in a statement.– Reinir Padua, Christina Mendez
