Court junks review of Dacer-Corbito case

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) has rejected a petition for reinvestigation of former Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force member Michael Ray Aquino, who will be tried for the November 2000 murders of publicist Salvador Dacer and his driver, Emmanuel Corbito.
In the same order issued by Manila RTC Judge Thelma Bunyi-Medina, she granted Aquino’s other petition, which is to remain in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation during the trial.
