Man uses toy gun to rob American

MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested for allegedly robbing a 61-year-old American man using a toy gun in Pasay City Saturday.

Bruce Leslie Mayers was along Cuneta Avenue near F.B. Harrison street when suspect Edgar Nolasco, 26, allegedly robbed him at about 2:20 p.m. 

Mayers reportedly gave up his bag containing P50,000, police said.

After Nolasco left, Mayers immediately sought the help of traffic aides Joe Manio and Joel Yaba, who were then directing traffic in the area.

The two traffic enforcers went after Nolasco and arrested him. Recovered from the suspect were the P50,000 and the toy gun, said Chief Inspector Reynaldo Paculan, officer-in-charge of the city police station investigation unit.
