MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is offering a total of P600,000 for any information that could lead to the arrest of a suspected car thief believed to be the gunman in two high-profile carjackings.
Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina, chief of the PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG), said a reward of P500,000 will be given to whoever can give information leading to the arrest of Eduardo Fernandez, who uses the aliases Rolando Fernandez, Eduardo Talban, Rolly Talban and Michael Villafranca.
HPG spokesman Superintendent Edwin Butacan said Talban was identified as the gunman in the murder of car dealer Venson Evangelista last Jan. 14 and government employee Teresita Teaño last month.
The P.5-million reward is in addition to the P100,000 bounty earlier offered by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group investigating the murder of Evangelista and another car dealer, Emerson Lozano, and his co-employee Ernani Sensil last January.
Espina said those with information about Talban may call the HPG Tactical Operation Center (TOC) at 726-1261 to 62 or 0906-3745375.
