2 shot dead in Manila Internet shop
MANILA, Philippines - Three men armed with handguns barged into a computer shop in Manila before dawn yesterday and shot dead two of the shop’s customers.
Gold Morris Ancheta, 18; and his cousin, Kevin Van Erick Villegas, 20, a member of the Bahala na Gang, were declared dead upon arrival at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, police said, adding that the two victims each bore several tattoos.
Investigators said one of the armed men shot Ancheta and Villegas repeatedly after declaring a robbery at the newly opened Social Hub computer shop at the corner of Fajardo and Cristobal streets in Sampaloc.
The attackers fled in a green Toyota Avanza driven by an accomplice.
Police said the three men did not rob the customers or the shop. Investigators have yet to establish a motive for the killings.
