NCRPO seeks help to catch dental clinic 'pervert'

MANILA, Philippines - The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is asking the public to help catch a man who molested at least 20 dentists in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

NCRPO chief Director Alan Purisima said they should go to the nearest police station if they observe a male neighbor or acquaintance frequently selling secondhand cell phones and laptops. He added that the attacker might have identified himself as a sales agent of secondhand electronics equipment to hide his crimes.

The “pervert” takes his victims’ cell phones and laptops, Purisima said.

“We could not cover all these stalls buying secondhand electronic equipment like in Greenhills. But the public could report to the police any male neighbor or acquaintance frequently selling them,” said Purisima, noting that they would work on the information forwarded to them by informants with no questions asked.

The Philippine Dental Association is offering P500,000 for the capture of the dental clinic rapist, who has not attacked a dentist in the past two weeks. “But we should not lower our guard until we have him neutralized,” Purisima said.
