Call center agent stabbed, shot in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines - A call center agent was killed during a robbery staged by two men riding a motorcycle in Pasig City yesterday.

Gerald Changco, 27, was stabbed in the neck and shot in the back. He was declared dead on arrival at the Medical City.

Senior Superintendent Jesse Cardona, Pasig City police chief, ordered a manhunt for Changco’s killers.

Cardona said Changco was waiting for a ride near an overpass at the corner of C-5 Road and P. Antonio street in Barangay Ugong at about 3:40 a.m.when the two robbers drove up to him.

One of the robbers poked a knife at Changco’s neck and the other served as a lookout. Minutes later, witnesses saw Changco running away. They said the lookout pulled out a handgun and shot him.

The robbers fled, taking an undetermined amount of money, Changco’s cell phone and some documents.
