Osang's drunk-driving son slams into cop's car

MANILA, Philippines - A son of actress Rosanna Roces, popularly known as Osang, reportedly smashed his sedan into a policeman’s vehicle in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Inspector John Ganzon, commander of Traffic Sector 4 of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said Dennis Robert Adriano, 20, of Provident Village, Marikina City, was reportedly driving under the influence of liquor.

Ganzon said the collision happened at a nightspot in Barangay Laging Handa at around 5:30 a.m. yesterday. Ganzon said Adriano faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.

Adriano was driving his Ford Lynx (WRH-653) when he reportedly hit the Mitsubishi Lancer (WCP-185) driven by Inspector Feliciano Almojuela Jr., 45, who is assigned to QCPD Station 1.

“He (Adriano) was incoherent and could barely answer questions by policemen. He seemed drunk at that time,” Ganzon said.

He said Adriano was barhopping with friends and was part of a convoy of five other vehicles. Adriano was with a female and two men who were also drunk, Ganzon said.

Ganzon said the Lancer spun after Adriano hit it, but no one was hurt. He said the Lancer’s left rear portion sustained heavy damage.
