4 Indians tagged in slay try on sect leader in hiding?

- Aie Balagtas See -

MANILA, Philippines - The four Indian nationals ordered arrested by a Pasay court for their alleged involvement in an attempt to kill an Indian sect president no longer reside at their listed addresses, a police official said yesterday.

Senior Superintendent Napoleon Cuaton, Pasay City police chief, said his men tried to serve the arrest warrant issued by Judge Maria Rosario Ragas of Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 108 against the Indians but failed to find them.

Gurdanshan Singh, Saudagar Singh, Deepak Kumar, and Baldev Singh Brar “are no longer staying in their listed addresses,” Cuaton told The STAR over the phone.

The police chief said the four cannot leave the country because a hold departure order against them was requested even before Ragasa issued the warrants last June 30.

The four Indians together with three Quezon City policemen – Chief Inspector Edwin Faycho, Police Officer 2 Edwin Faculdar, PO1 Mark Edward Zapata – are tagged in the Dec. 20, 2010 alleged attempt on the life of Khalsidawan Inc. president James Kumar, the death of his two friends Andy Ngie and Ferdinand Ret; and the shooting of Pasay policeman Senior Inspector Renato Apolinario.

The accused were charged with attempted murder, bail set at P120,000; direct assault with frustrated murder, bail set at P200,000; and carjacking with double homicide with no recommended bail. Ragasa dropped the carjacking with double homicide charges against Faycho and Faculdar for lack of probable cause.
