MANILA, Philippines - The motorcycle-riding men who killed a Northern Police District policeman in a photo shop in Caloocan City Monday night may murder more lawmen, according to a witness.
The witness told investigators he overheard one of the killers of Senior Police Officer 1 Enrie Escalaw, 45, saying, “We’re now even, but more will follow.”
Witnesses said the first gunman shot Escalaw twice in the head while the other one fired at least eight more shots at the already dead police officer.
Escalaw was the leader of a team who killed the alleged head of a big-time crime gang during a chance encounter in Caloocan City last month. The crime gang members are reportedly guns for hire who are also into the illegal drug trade, robbery, and gunrunning.
