Rob suspects shoot it out over P250

MANILA, Philippines - Two men were killed in an encounter with Quezon City Police District (QCPD) policemen after robbing a burger stand of P250 in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches before dawn yesterday.

Superintendent Marcelino Pedrozo, commander of the QCPD Station 4, said they recovered the money and three revolvers from the slain suspects.

He said a third cohort escaped on a motorcycle at the height of the shootout.

In his report to QCPD director Chief Superintendent George Regis, Pedrozo said the two suspects were estimated to be in their 20s and had “Bahala na Gang” tattoos on their bodies.

Police Officer 3 Arman Melad and Police Officers 2 Rod de Guzman and Danilo Zapatero passed the burger stand manned by Iryn Ratilla, 20, who was crying over the lost money.

Pedrozo said the policemen spotted the two suspects around 100 meters away from the burger stand, meeting with the third man.

The suspects allegedly started shooting at the lawmen when they were accosted.
