'Sex fiend behind attacks on dentists'

MANILA, Philippines -  Police are hunting down a sex fiend who allegedly raped and robbed one of four lady dentists he victimized in Metro Manila and Bulacan.

“Definitely, our suspect is a sex fiend and is now the subject of our massive manhunt,” said National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Superintendent Alan Purisima.

Purisima ordered the district directors of the Manila, Quezon City and Northern Police Districts to coordinate with the Bulacan police to solve the cases.

“We should exchange notes and work as one in sol­ving these cases,” Purisima said.

Chief Superintendent Roberto Rongavilla, director of the Manila Police District (MPD) confirmed that a lady dentist was raped and robbed in Paco two weeks ago.

Rongavilla said the suspect pretended to be a customer but once inside the clinic, pulled out a handgun, hogtied the victim and raped her. The suspect also took the victim’s cash and personal belongings worth P200,000.

Purisima expressed strong belief that the attack on the lady dentists in Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan City and Bulacan was perpetrated by only one suspect as shown by their similarities in the cartographic sketch.
