Two Nigerians arrested

MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents arrested yesterday two Nigerian nationals, alleged to be involved in a syndicate recruiting Filipino drug mules.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general Undersecretary Jose Gutierrez Jr. identified the suspects as Obinna Oliver Okeke, alias Sam Osie, and Obi Ezeme King.

The two were arrested in a buy-bust operation by agents of PDEA Regional Office 3 and Intelligence and Investigation Section along Ortigas Extension in Cainta, Rizal.

Agents confiscated from the suspects four pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing a kilo of suspected cocaine.

The contraband was said to be offered by the suspects at the price of P300,000, said Director Jigger Montallana of PDEA’s Special Enforcement Service.
