DFA offers new passport tracking service

- Rainier Allan Ronda -

MANILA, Philippines -  Passport applicants can now monitor the status of their passport applications online through the Department of Foreign Affairs’ new Passport Tracking Service (PTS).

The DFA’s Office of Consular Affairs said the PTS could provide the public with updates on the status of their passport applications.

To access the PTS, applicants can visit the DFA website and click on the PTS icon there. Clicking the icon will lead to an online form where they will have to enter basic personal information such as their full names, date of birth, cell phone number and e-mail address, date of filing of application, date of scheduled release, amount paid and the name of courier that will send the passport.

After typing and encoding the information required, applicants will receive a response to their PTS queries through a text message or e-mail within two working days after the DFA receives the request.
