Manila, Philippines - Four persons were hurt after a security guard reportedly fired his 12-gauge shotgun by accident while manning the Metro Rail Transit Kamuning station in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Cecilio Belleca Jr. said he accidentally pressed the trigger on the shotgun just as the train’s doors were closing at around 9 a.m. The shotgun pellets hit fellow security guard Lordiem Abellar as well as passengers Gaspar Malanday, 31; Ronnel Balano, 24; and Mary Ann Orosco, 36.

MRT management spokesperson Hernando Cabrera said those hurt were brought to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
