Man jailed for taking bathing teen's photos

MANILA, Philippines - A 53-year-old call center agent was jailed over the weekend for taking pictures of a 15-year-old girl while she was taking a bath in Mandalu­yong City.

Wilfredo Flores denied the allegation, saying he was sleeping when the victim and her relatives knocked on his bedroom door. Flores has been renting a room at the victim’s house in Barangay Namayan for the past several months.

According to police, the victim said she was taking a bath at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday when she noticed someone using a cell phone to take photos of her. The girl shouted for help, wrapped herself in a towel and ran out of the bathroom. She said she saw the suspect, clad only in shorts, rushing to enter his room.

Police Officer 2 Fe Agluba filed a formal complaint against Flores. The victim’s mother expressed fears that her daughter’s photos would be uploaded on the Internet.
