Volunteer firefighter's car stolen

- Non Alquitran -

MANILA, Philippines - A volunteer firefighter lost his Ford Everest (PAY-818) to carjackers in Mandaluyong City yesterday.

Gaudencio Jose Palomo, 36, said he parked his car along Aglipay street to have breakfast at an eatery at around 5:30 a.m. When he returned to his vehicle, four men, with handkerchiefs covering their faces, blocked his path and at gunpoint demanded he hand over his car keys.

Police said the carjackers, who sped off with the Everest, also took Palomo’s laptop, two cell phones, his wallet with P18,000, assorted credit cards and other valuables.
