Stray bullet kills sleeping woman

MANILA, Philippines - A woman died in her sleep before dawn yesterday after being hit by a stray bullet in Quezon City.
Pinkie de la Rosa, 21, suffered a gunshot wound in the head and was declared dead upon arrival at the Chinese General Hospital.
Police Officer 3 Joselito Gagaza said De la Rosa was sleeping in her room at the second floor of her house in Barangay Sto. Domingo when she was hit at around 1 a.m.
Residents said a group of men riding a dark blue and green Honda CRV (WTK-819) were asking where they could find a certain “Emong” and started shooting when they could not find him.
Gagaza said they found 11 .9mm shells, one bullet, and a deformed slug at the scene.
