Cabbie found with throat slit

MANILA, Philippines - A taxi driver was found dead, his throat slit, in Taguig City Saturday night.

A report from the Southern Police District said investigators initially had difficulty identifying the victim because his license was taken away. Roger Putol’s body was found in his Detergius Taxi unit (TXX-446) along C-5 Road’s southbound lane near Palar Village in Barangay Pinagsama at around 7:50 p.m.

Police suspect Putol was killed because he put up a fight when he was being robbed. No money was found on his person or in his vehicle.
