Condo jumper drunk, not suicidal

MANILA, Philippines - The Makati City police said yesterday that the woman who jumped from her 18th-floor condominium unit and landed in the building’s seventh-floor swimming pool was just drunk, not suicidal.
Chief Inspector Fred de la Cruz said after interviewing Ildelyn Montono, 20, about the incident, investigators found that she did not intend to commit suicide and was simply too drunk to realize she had jumped from the balcony of her unit at the Paseo Parkview Suites.
Montono remains confined at the Makati Medical Center. She reportedly left the condominium Tuesday night with her Korean boyfriend, Sae Um Lee, then returned alone, drunk.
