Fetus found in garbage

MANILA, Philippines - A fetus was found yesterday by a garbage collector at the garbage room of a condominium building in Mandaluyong City.

Romero Cervantes, 46, said the fetus was covered by a pink cloth and placed inside a cardboard box when he found it at about 6:30 a.m. The box was in a pile of garbage in the garbage room of the Paragon Plaza Condominium in Barangay Ilaya.

When he opened the carton, Cervantes said he was shocked to find the male fetus and a pair of bloody underwear.
