Foul play not yet ruled out in woman's jump from condo

MANILA, Philippines –  The Makati City police is not yet ruling out foul play behind a woman’s leap from the balcony of her 18th-floor condominium unit in Salcedo Village Wednesday, an official said yesterday.

Chief Inspector Fred de la Cruz, Makati police criminal investigation division head, said they still need to question Ildelyn Montono, 20, about the incident.

Montono is confined at the Makati Medical Center, where she was rushed shortly after landing in the swimming pool on the seventh floor of the Paseo Parkview Suites condominium.

Police said the condominium’s security guards reported that Montono was alone in her condominium unit when she jumped.

Montono reportedly left the condominium Tuesday night with her Korean boyfriend, Sae Um Lee, then returned alone, drunk. Police said they will also question Montono’s boyfriend.
