2 men shot dead in Pasig
MANILA, Philippines - Two men were shot dead yesterday in what Pasig police said could be related to a drug deal gone sour.
Senior Superintendent Jesse Cardona, Pasig City police chief, ordered a citywide manhunt for the suspect, a certain Andy, in Barangay Palatiw.
Cardona identified the victims as Ismael Quijano Jr., 26, and Mark Louie Cerrano, 25, alias Macmac.
Quijano sustained a gunshot wound in the head and died on the spot while Cerrano was shot in the left chest and died while being operated on at the Pasig City General Hospital.
Cardona said Andy arrived in the house of Quijano at San Agustin, Bolante 2 in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at about 12:50 a.m. yesterday. He asked his live-in partner, Michaela Joy Felix, to leave for a while, as he, Andy and Cerrano would talk about a business matter.
Minutes later, successive shots rang out and Felix rushed inside using the back door and saw Quijano and Cerrano bathing in their pool of blood.
Andy was nowhere to be found.
Responding Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) headed by Chief Inspector Russel Leysa recovered four empty shells of .45 caliber automatic pistol at the crime scene and an undetermined amount of shabu.
