Ob-gyne charged with abortion, malpractice
MANILA, Philippines - An obstetrician-gynecologist and her assistant were charged with attempted abortion, medical malpractice and attempted infanticide before the Manila prosecutor’s office yesterday.
Manila Police District (MPD) Station 6 commander Senior Superintendent Rogelio Rosales Jr. said charges were filed against Dr. Maria Fe Tizon, 42. Her medical secretary, Desiree Dagami, 23, was charged for being an accessory to the alleged crime.
MPD Station 6 police officers arrested Tizon and Dagami at their clinic at the corner of Onyx and Augusto Francisco streets after complainant Geraldine Busano, three months pregnant, posed as a client in an entrapment operation.
