MANILA, Philippines – A 14-year-old boy was found dead from gunshot and stab wounds in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City at past midnight yesterday.
Crime scene operatives said Michael Albao, a sixth-grader at the Sakamel Elementary School, was shot several times in the head and stabbed once in the back.
Police Officer 1 Hermogenes Capili said Albao was found by resident Rodel Ferrer along Sunflower Alley at around 1:20 a.m.
Ferrer told police he was hanging around the area when he heard what he thought were firecrackers before he found the body.
Capili said they found a spent shell from a .9mm pistol at the crime scene. Police are investigating if the boy was killed as part of a gang war.
