2 PETC centers itiniwalag
MANILA, Philippines - Itiniwalag na ng Stradcom Corporation, ang exclusive Information Technology provider ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang kanilang direct connection facility sa dalawang Private Emission Testing Centers habang nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) dahil sa katiwalian sa emission testing activities.
“Stradcom Corporation would like to officially inform the general public that in view of the pending NBI investigation on the alleged illegal activities of two private emission testing centers, we have cut off from our PETC direct connection facility Enviroguard and Smoke in the City, and as such these PETCs will not be able to transact business with the motoring public,“ ayon sa statement ng Stradcom.
Tiniyak naman ng Stradcom na nakahanda silang makipagkooperasyon sa mga local authorities partikular sa mga ahente ng NBI.
Nag-ugat ang ginawang pagsisiyasat ng NBI matapos madiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang illegal na aktibidades ng mga PETC’s .
Samantala, nagsasagawa naman ang Department of Transportation and Communications(DoTC) sa sistema ng PETC sa LTO upang tuluyan ng masugpo ang non appearance emission testing ng mga sasakyan na isang paglabag sa 1999 Clean Air Act.
