MANILA, Philippines - A cement mixer truck lost control while cruising a zigzag road in Antipolo City yesterday afternoon, crashing into a house and injuring six persons, including the driver.
Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Quezon) regional director Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao said according to initial reports, the Isuzu mixer truck (CPB-243) was traveling along the zigzag road in Barangay Dalig at about 3:10 pm. during a downpour when driver Celestino Collera suddenly lost control.
The truck veered off the road into a ravine and crashed into the house. The injured residents were rushed to various nearby hospitals while Collera was taken to the Unciano Medical Hospital. Pagdilao said the incident is still under investigation.
