Man stabs friend in argument over ghosts

- Perseus Echeminada -

MANILA, Philippines – A construction worker was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his drinking buddy during an argument over whether there were ghosts at a cemetery in Barangay San Agustin, Malabon City, police said yesterday.

Christopher Lalim and Mon Alvin Francisco were having a drink before going to the cemetery to visit their departed loved ones.

Witnesses said Lalim insisted that there were ghosts, while Francisco disagreed. Lalim then allegedly pulled out a fan knife and stabbed the victim in the right armpit.

Police arrested Lalim while Francisco was brought to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
