MANILA, Philippines – Several areas in Metro Manila will have no water for at least three days this week because of repairs on the Angat hydroelectric power plant.
In an advisory, Maynilad said the National Power Corp. will temporarily shut down the facility from tomorrow to Thursday.
Areas that will have no water from 6 a.m. tomorrow to 9 p.m. on Thursday are Barangays Batasan Hills, Bagong Silangan, Holy Spirit, and Nagkaisang Nayon in Quezon City; Barangays CAA (upper portion) and Talon 1 (upper portion) in Las Piñas City; Barangays Maysan, Marulas, Karuhatan, and Gen. T. De Leon in Valenzuela City; Barangays Potrero, Tugatog, Acacia, Dampalit, Tanza, Tangos, Hulong Duhat, San Jose and Sipac-Almacen in Malabon City and Barangay Bagong Barrio in Caloocan City.
Those that will have no water from 6 a.m. tomorrow up to 9 p.m. on Friday are Barangays Sauyo, Talipapa, Tandang Sora, Baesa and Bahay Toro in Quezon City and Barangays 158, 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, and 164 in Caloocan City.
According to Maynilad, their other service areas will experience low water pressure.
The water concessionaire said it has prepared five static water tanks and 24 water tankers to augment water supply in the affected areas.
