Fil-Am nabbed for abducting woman
MANILA, Philippines - A 22-year-old Filipino-American man was arrested yesterday by Quezon City policemen for allegedly abducting and raping a woman who was waiting for a ride home.
Quezon City Police Station 10 commander Superintendent Constante Agpaoa, identified the suspect as Jansen Rey Ruckenbrod, a resident of East Fairview.
According to records, the victim, a 25-year-old guest relations officer, and her 22-year-old sister were waiting for a ride in front of the Maalikaya Sauna along Quezon Avenue when Ruckenbrod and two other men allegedly grabbed the victim and forced her into their vehicle, a Mitsubishi Fuzion (IRT-682).
The victim’s sister was able to run away and report the incident to the police.
Inspector Corazon Sandoval, chief of the women and children protection desk of Police Station 10, and her team arrested Ruckenbrod at his address.
Sandoval said they recovered some of the victim’s belongings from Ruckenbrod’s car.
The victim said the suspects raped and robbed her of her money and valuables.
Police have launched a manhunt for the alleged cohorts of Ruckenbrod, who will be charged with abduction with rape and robbery.
