2 remittance firm heist suspects arrested
MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested two of three men who allegedly robbed an LBC remittance firm in Pasay City Sunday.
The suspects, identified as Dan Diaz and Rober Rey, were arrested by police in their homes along Apelo street, a reported bailiwick of criminals. Seized from them were a .38 revolver and a knife.
Police said Diaz, Rey and a still unidentified cohort robbed the LBC EDSA-Rotonda branch and took P111,000 worth of cash, laptops and cell phones.
One of the suspects molested the shop’s cashier and took her pants and wallet. The suspect only let go of the victim after his cohorts told him they had to leave.
After the heist, the woman used the office’s curtains to cover herself and report the incident to the police. Police have launched a manhunt for the remaining suspect.
