18 nadale ng illegal recruiter hinarang sa airport

MANILA, Philippines - Tinatayang aabot sa 18 Pinoy na sinasabing bik­tima ng human trafficking at illegal recruitment na patungo sana sa Riyadh, Saudi Arabia ang nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration sa Ninoy Aquino Internatioal Airport, ayon sa ulat kahapon.

Ayon sa BI officer-in-charge na si Ronaldo Le­desma, hindi pinayagang makaalis ang 18 pasahero dahil sa kwestiyunableng dokumento matapos pu­malpak sa mga itinatanong ng mga kinauukulang ahensya.

Sumasailalim na sa imbestigasyon ng Department of Justice ang 18 nadale ng illegal recruitment para kasuhan ang mastermind.

Una nang iniutos ni Justice Secretary Leila de Lima ang kampanya laban sa human trafficking na ayon sa ulat ay umabot na sa 3,390 tourist workers ang di-pinayagang maka­alis mula noong Agosto lamang sa iba’t ibang paliparan sa bansa.

“It was very evident that their job description and visa do not match, thus we had no choice but to dis­allow their departure,” pa­hayag ni BI airport operations division chief Atty. Arvin Santos.
