Quezon City cops to be more 'client-friendly'
MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City government has announced that the local police will be more “client-friendly” starting this month with “quality service lanes” to immediately respond to complaints from residents.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele recently reported to Mayor Herbert Bautista that they will launch the service lanes soon in its 12 police stations and major police offices in its headquarters in Camp Karingal.
Mantele said there will be a comfortable room where complainants could stay while waiting for their turn as well as parking spaces for residents with cars. They will also be offered water to drink.
Mantele also told Bautista that the QCPD will no longer use high desks for desk officers and police officers on duty will be courteous and discreet when talking to complainants.
The QCPD chief also asked city residents to file a complaint against police officers who did not give due importance to their complaints.
