P20-milÂyon pampaganda nasabat ng BOC
MANILA, Philippines - Tinatayang P20 milyon ang halaga ng mga pekeng personal care at cosmetic products ang nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) mula sa bansang China.
Sinabi ni Customs Commissioner Lito Alvarez, nasabat ang 40-foot container van sa Manila Port at nang buksan ito ay tumambad ang iba’t ibang pekeng brand ng cosmetic products tulad ng Nivea, Ponds, L’Oreal, Revlon, Mac at Jergens.
Kabilang din sa nakum piska ang mga pekeng Lacoste Face powder, Chanel Face powder, LV Face powder, Hello Kitty branded T-shirts, Chanel womens bags, Ipod shuffle mp3 player, Quantum pendant, Phiten Bracelet, at power balance bracelet, cellular phones, cellphone batteries, Gold plated jewelries, hardware products, PVC windows at electrical products.
Nabatid na inabandona na ng consignee na Kornets international na may business address sa 99 Doña Rosario St.Doña Rosario Subd. Novaliches proper, Quezon City ang kanilang mga kargamento upang matakasan ang kasong paglabag sa Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, RA 8293 at ang batas na ipinatutupad ng Food and Drugs Administration na maaring isampa sa kanya.
