Trader gunned down in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - Police are hunting down three gunmen who shot dead a trader attending to his store in Malabon City Saturday.

Eduardo Budiongan, 55, a resident of FloviHomes subdivision in Barangay Tunsuya, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Senior Police Officer 2 Ferdinand Espiritu said Budiongan was busy attending to his plasticware store when three men wearing baseball caps approached him at around 5:30 p.m.

Espiritu said one of the men pulled a handgun and repeatedly shot Budiongan. The attackers walked away towards a squatter colony in nearby Barangay Catmon.

The Malabon City police have yet to establish a motive in Budiongan’s murder.
