Man gets 13 years for possession of shabu

MANILA, Philippines - A Manila regional trial court (RTC) judge has sentenced a man to 13 years imprisonment for possession of shabu three years ago.

In a decision promulgated on April 27, Judge Caroline Rivera-Colasito, of Manila RTC Branch 23, found Dennis Euenio guilty of possession of illegal drugs.

The judge also imposed a fine of P300,000.

Court records showed that Euenio was found in possession of a plastic sachet containing shabu when he was accosted by policemen near Del Pan and P. Lara Sts. in Binondo on May 11, 2007. The substance was later found positive to be shabu. The accused had denied police allegations.
